"A world where art does have to do with the everyday utilitarian objects". ‘Florence’ is a modern loungewear brand with resort vibes that aims to help women to simply feel good, cherishing themselves and seeing joy in everyday life by dressing playful, comfortably and stylish, in the most sustainable way possible. With production in both Finland and Brazil, my home country, we proudly help to build a strong community of makers, contributing to both societies and combining together the best of both cultures. Our main material sources are dead stock fabrics from natural fibers, such as cotton, linen, and silk. The idea arise from a personal desire to combine my Brazilian heritage sparkled by colors, shapes, movements, and artisanal work, and the Nordic values of beautiful aesthetics powered by quality design. Due to losing my job when Covid circumstances hit, right after the end of my maternity leave, I decided it was time to pursue a dream of creating something new, different and mindful by making ordinary everyday life more joyful and special. By creating clothing from leftover fabrics I want to draw new definitions around what luxury should mean. Sets and accessories so versatile that allow us to cherish ourselves, feeling comfortable and stylish on our own terms, either sleeping, running errands, or joining friends for lunch. Best, Florence
